Kenneth Ray Beckner

Kenneth Ray Beckner, 74 of Princeton, West Virginia went to his Heavenly home on May 26, 2026.

Born on March 5, 1952, he was the son of the late Ernest and Nora Perkins Beckner. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert Beckner, Ernest (Buddy) Beckner, and Wayne Beckner; and sisters Helen Hedrick, Ruth Combs, Eloise Odonnell, and Pauline Branscomb. He is survived by one beloved brother, Frank Beckner and wife Janice of Middletown, Delaware, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He will be deeply mourned by 3 special nieces, Karen Saddler, Kathy Cordle and Debra West. Kenny will be greatly missed by his faithful best friend Tommy Adams, longtime friend Vicky Salyers and his church family at Rogers Street Church, where he attended for over 20 years. Kenny and his brother Wayne blessed many people over the years singing hymns of faith as the "Beckner Brothers".

Although he was blind from birth, Kenny took pride in being independent and taking care of himself. His legacy of love, independence, and dedication to serving God will be remembered by all who knew him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell West Virginia with Minister Steve Pendleton officiating. Angie Pendleton and Willie May Moore will sing for Kenny for the last time on this side of Heaven. Burial will follow at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Friends may call one hour prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in lieu of food and flowers.
