Kenneth Estil Bailey

Kenneth passed peacefully on Monday, May 4, 2026 at his Crumpler, WV home. He was 70 year old. Born February 8, 1956, he was a son of the late Charolette Pearl (Taylor) Bailey and Estil Bailey. In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Melissa Carolyn Bailey; son-in-law, William "Allen" Mitchem; brother, Roger Bailey; brothers-in-law, James Graham and Archie Hunnel; sister, Mary Thompson; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Woodrow and Delma Jennings; brothers-in-law, Larry and Jackie Jennings; sisters-in-law, Joyce Gentry and Linda Mullins.

Those left to cherish Kenneth's memory are his loving and devoted wife of 51 years, Carolyn Maxine Bailey; his two daughters whom he loved dearly, Marcina (Oliver) Lewis and Amanda Mitchem; three grandchildren, Dakota (Christina) Lewis, Melissa Lewis and Santana (Shawn) Oyler; great-grandchild due in October that he loved and was looking forward to meeting, Shyanne Willow Oyler; sisters, Sharon Hunnel, Bernice Graham, Brenda (Connie) Mullins, Cecilia (Clyde) Isom and Shellby Bohin; and a host of nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Sophia.

Kenneth was a United States Navy Veteran receiving a degree as a diesel mechanic. He was also a retired coal miner.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, May 8, 2026 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Elder Lonnie Mullins, Sr., Elder Lonnie Mullins, Jr., and Elder Kinneth Mullins officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where Dakota Lewis, Oliver (Obbey) Lewis, Jr., Shawn Oyler, Kenneth Mullins, Lonnie (Junior) Mullins, Jr., and Tony Warden will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Joseph (Joey) Hunnel and Alex Oyler. The Mercer County Veteran's Honor Guard will conduct military graveside rites.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
