Katie Jeanette Perdue

Katie Jeanette Perdue, born May 25, 1940, in McComas to the late Clarence and Zora Lusk Dunford, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2022, surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter who were caring for her.  She was a resident of Brushfork for the past sixty-six years, where she made her home with the love of her life, the late Lowell (Tommy) Perdue. She was a member of Brushfork Baptist Church. After Tommy’s passing in 2019 there has been a void she was unable to fill.  Jeanette loved her friends and family, going to Walmart and eating out. The apple of her eye was her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Anthony, and wife Debbie of Brushfork, Mark and wife Karen of Brushfork, Robert Perdue of Bluewell, Robin and husband Patrick of Brushfork. Grandchildren, Eric Perdue, Kristen (Jamie) Farley, Corey (Aubrey) Watkins, Arin Perdue, David (Sarah) Riggs, Stephanie (Shawn) McGlothlin. Great-grandchildren, Austin Farley, Alec Farley, Riley Riggs, Devon Farley, Marley Perdue, Taylor McGlothlin, Dawson Riggs, Owen Riggs, Carter McGlothlin, Brody Farley, Peyton Watkins, Bayleigh Watkins, and baby girl Jordyn Watkins coming in October.  Brothers, Bobby and wife Debbie Dunford of New Hampshire, and Freddy Dunford of Montcalm.  Sisters, Aileen Whitt of Bluewell, Shirley White of Montcalm, Phyllis Minnix of Princeton, and Loretta Mitchem of Bluewell, numerous nieces and nephews she loved dearly. Also, one special friend and neighbor, Mary Evans.

 Services will be at Cravens-Shires on Friday, June 10, 2022, at 10:00am. Visitation at 9:00am prior to service. Reverend Wes Lambert officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens where Corey Watkins, Jamie Farley, Alec Farley, Ricky Riggs, Eric Perdue, and Arin Perdue will serve as pallbearers.
