Karen Sheila Turner

Karen Sheila Turner, 76, of Bluefield, VA, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at her home with her family surrounding her. Born to parents Julian and Frances Rouse Hollway on April 29, 1947, in Bluefield, WV. Karen was a member of Bluefield Church of God and a life-long resident of Bluefield, VA. She was a former employee of Bluefield Regional Medical Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris “Dokie” Ann Hollway Money. Those left to cherish Karen’s memory are her husband, Joe H. Turner Sr., of the home; daughter, Heather Powers and husband Gary of Tazewell, VA; stepson, Joe Turner, Jr. and girlfriend Teresa of Brushfork; and two grandchildren, John and Izabella Powers. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 26, 2023, at 1:00 PM at Bluefield Church of God with Rev. Tony Ellis officiating. Friends may call prior to services, from 12:00-1:00 PM at the church. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Turner family.
