June Riley Moore

     June Riley Moore, age 71, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022, at Ridge Care Assisted Living in Princeton, West Virginia.  Formerly June resided in Roanoke, Virginia, for over 30 years and was most recently a resident of Friendship Manor.  June was born in Welch, West Virginia to the late James Riley Moore and June Forest Moore.

      June is survived by a brother, Thomas Evans Moore and wife Ann of Columbia, South Carolina and two sisters:  Mary Chapman Gearheart of Radford, Virginia, and Elizabeth Moore Pruett and husband Roy of Bluefield, West Virginia.   June is also survived by nieces Mari Ann Moore, Rebecca Bumgarner, and Sara Gearheart, and nephews James Pruett and wife Ashleigh and Charles Pruett and wife Courtney.  Great nephews include Luke Bumgarner, Coulter Bumgarner and Evan Moore and a great niece Forest Isabelle Pruett.

      A graveside service will be  held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, March 10^th, 2022, at the  Fair View Cemetery at 3300 Melrose Avenue in Roanoke, Virginia, with Pastor Jim Rivers officiating.  In lieu of flowers the family has requested contributions to the First Christian Church at 344 Church Avenue, Roanoke, Virginia  24016.  The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home of Bluefield, West Virginia,  is handling arrangements.
