Joyce Elizabeth Ellis

Joyce Elizabeth Ellis, of Princeton, WV passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born April 12, 1962 in McDowell Co., WV, she was the daughter of Nancy Blair Lester and the late Garland Lester. Joyce was of the Pentecostal faith and was a homemaker. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Neil Ellis; sisters, Dolly Lester and Ella Mae Lester; brother, Garland Lester; and grandmother, Ella Mae Blair. In addition to her mother, those left to cherish Joyce’s memory are her two daughters, Joetta Lynn Ellis of Gilbert, WV, and Joanna Rasnick and husband, Ronnie of Princeton, WV; son, Roger Ellis and his wife, Jennifer Ellis of Asbury, WV; sister, Drema Seay, her only living sibling of Princeton, WV; and grandchildren, Anthony Hinkle, Jacob Hinkle, Whitney Williams, Brittney Salmons, and Piper Rasnick. Joyce was like a second mom to Rebekah and Jeffery Livingston, Jasper Kidd, Larry Kidd, and Nathan Kidd. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 14, 2021 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Ellis family.
