Joshua Garrett Dalton, past away on June 7, 2026, after fighting ALS. He was 46 years of age. Born August 17, 1979, he was the son of Gary and Judith Dalton of Princeton, West Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his grand parents, Joseph and Verbena Shaffer and Raymond and Gaynell Dalton. Also Vickie Dalton.

His survivors are: His loving wife, Amanda Dalton, his mother and father, Gary and Judith, his sister, Jessica Virginia Tilley and her husband, Terry Tilley, their children Joycelyn Verbena, Atreyu Von Lee, his sons, Garrett Lyn Dalton, his fiancé, Dawn, Issac Dalton and Niki, and son Tristan Dalton, and his grand daughter, Athena, and granddaughter Judith May... His aunts and uncles: Sharon Lambert, Lisa and Kerry Bird, Edward and Susan Shaffer, Priscilla and Leon Lilly, Greg Dalton. His cousins and wives:

Jody and Mary Lambert, Sherri and Tony Shelton, Michael and Kelly Lambert, Christopher and Beth Lambert, Brittany and Daniel Edwards, Indya Bird and Ben Barnett, Keith and Melissa Shaffer, Angela Shaffer, and their children, a favorite second cousin Sean McClung; and mother of Tristan, Summer Goff.

He was a loving father to his children and loved them dearly. He married his best friend, Amanda. He loved fishing, playing basketball, writing songs and playing his guitar and music, he loved drawing Spider-Man and muscle men, playing video games and being with family. He loved where he was born at Rock, WV, and his parents place at Princeton WV. He also loved his home on the farm with his wife Amanda, at Raven Virginia. He loved playing and writing music for Amanda. He loved his grandfather, Joseph Lee Shaffer. Some of the happiest times was spent with him. And everyone said he looked just like his papa.

He was a great defender of the underdog. If he thought someone was being bullied, he would come to their rescue. His sister never had to worry, he always had her back. And no one could ever fool with his children, he would protect them. He felt the same for any nieces and nephews and cousins. He loved animals of all types. If it was small, he wanted to take care of it.
