Joseph Miller, Sr.

Joseph Carroll Miller, Sr., age 81, of Princeton, WV, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2021 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 9, 1940 in Jenkinjones, WV, he was a son of the late Joseph Lennie and Reesie Miller Miller. He was a retired auto mechanic.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joan Fogle Miller; and a daughter, Lyndora Miller.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Carroll (Brenda) Miller, Jr. of Las Vegas, NV; two daughters, Diana Miller of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tina Miller of Princeton;; step-children, JoAnn Fogle Johnson, Dianne Fogel Miner and Butch Fogle; brother, Roger Miller of Anawalt, WV sisters, De Cunningham of Warrenton, VA, Mildred Penland of Jenkinjones, WV, and Cathy (Marv) Hodel of St. Charles, MO; 2 grandchildren, Brian, Jessica; step grandchildren, Robert, Ashley and Shane; great grandchildren, Simon and Lola.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Pond Mountain Primitive Baptist Church, Lansing, NC, at 1:00 PM with Rev. Eddie Lyles officiating. Burial will follow at the Miller Family Cemetery in Tuckerdale, NC.

Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell.
