Johnny Ray Garris

Johnny Ray Garris, 71, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Monday March 9th, 2026, peacefully at Mercer Healthcare Center. Born November 25th, 1954, he had been a resident of Bluefield for over 40 years. He was the son of the late James and Myrtle Garris. Johnny will be remembered for the time he spent doing carpentry work as well as a being a wonderful son and brother.

Left to cherish Johnny’s memory are his sisters Joyce Jones and Samantha Penland both of Bluefield, WV as well as his brothers Jack Carver of Bluefield, VA, James Garris of Winston-Salem, NC, and Edward Knight of Myrtle Beach, SC.

There will be a graveside service to honor Mr. Garris’s memory on Thursday March 12th, 2026 at 1:00PM at Woodlawn Cemetery in Bluewell, WV with Rev. Teddy Warden officiating. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is proud to serve the Garris family.
