Joey Nicole King

Joey Nicole King, 50, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, March 30th, 2024, at WVU Medicine Princeton Community Hospital. Born December 14th, 1973, in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter to Brenda Susan and Joseph M. King. 

Joey was known for her kindness and selfless nature; she was always willing to help and encourage others through their struggles despite her own hardships. She had numerous interests and a love for learning, curating an extensive collection of books and various hobbies throughout her life. She loved playing with her dog, Chomper, and her beloved cats.

Those left to cherish Joey’s memory include her parents, Brenda Susan and Joseph M. King of Longs, SC; sister, Tara Altizer of Tazewell, VA; son, Dustin English and wife Alicia of Charlotte, NC; daughters, Emily Phelps of Longs, SC, and Mackenzie Phelps of Bluefield WV; grandchildren, Nathan English of Charlotte NC, and Rafe Campbell of Longs, SC; along with a host of other loved ones.  Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the King family.
