Joan Meade

Joan Moore Meade, 78, of Princeton, WV passed away on Sunday July 17th, 2026. 

Born on November 15th, 1947 in Bluefield, WV she was daughter of the late Vernal and Geniva Moore. She was a lifelong Resident of Princeton and was of the Methodist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband for over 50 years William Meade and Daughter Michelle Meade, her brother Ricky Moore and sister Dorthy Moore. 

Her husband and daughter were the center of her life. She accomplished her Doctorate Degree in Psychiatry. Joan dedicated her life to caring for her family. Survivors include her brothers Vernal Moore Jr of Bluefield, WV and Terry Moore of Tyler, TX as well as a lot of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV on Thursday July 23rd, 2026 at 1:00 PM with a funeral following the visitation at 2:00 PM at the same location being officiated by Reverend Gerald Roberts. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
