Jimmy R. Scott

Jimmy R. Scott, 78, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 at his home.

Born on May 6, 1943 in Bluefield, VA, he was a son of the late Virgil and Ellen Harper Scott.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Scott Proffitt; three sisters, Lois Crist, Alice Janutolo and Darlene Scott.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Connie Saddler Scott; two sisters, Jackie (George) Shively of Panacea, FL and Pat (Bob) Patterson of Columbus, OH; 2 grandchildren, Tiffany and Dakota Proffitt; one great grandson, Killian Burks. The family also wishes to thank Dr. Stephen DeGray and Hospice Compassus for the care given to Jimmy.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Dana Hambrick officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV where Timmy Saddler, Buford Saddler, Brandon Saddler, Kory Saddler, Jason Bowling and Joey Burks will serve as pallbearers. Willard Saddler will serve as an honorary pallbearer.

Friends may call prior to services on Friday, from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
