Jerry Richard Shumaker

Jerry Richard Shumaker, 76, of Oasis Court, Princeton, WV, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at his home.

Born on March 25, 1943 in Princeton, he was a son of the late James Edward and Mary Lucille Byrd Shumaker. He had been a resident of Mercer County his entire life and attended Johnston Chapel Baptist Church in Princeton. He was a retired truck driver for Kwik Kafe in Bluefield, VA.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Harrison Shumaker of the home; daughters, Melissa Marcum of Roanoke, VA, Tina (Shawn) Mitchell of Bluefield, Leah Ann (Tim) Wimmer of Falls Mills, VA; sons, Richard Shumaker, Brett Shumaker of Pittsburgh, PA, and Evan (Jillian) Shumaker of Pittsburgh, PA; 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Jeffrey (Betty) Shumaker; sister, Sandra (Michael) Spencer of Princeton; father and mother in law, George and Stella Harrison of Bluefield, WV.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor Jim Simmons officiating.

Friends may call on Saturday prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
