Jerry Elmer Jones

Jerry Elmer Jones, 76, of Bluefield, WV passed away Friday, January 2, 2026 at his home. Born April 10, 1949 in Freeman, WV, he was a son of the late Harold Lee and Irma M Turner Jones. Jerry was retired from Joy Mining Equipment where he was a Coil Winder. He was also a proud Veteran of the United States Armed Forces. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harry and Sibyl Harshbarger; two brothers, John and Sam Jones; and a sister, Mary Chadwell.

Those left to cherish Jerry's memory are his loving wife of 53 years, Susan Beth Harshbarger Jones of the home; sons, Joseph Jones and wife, Alice of Sandlick, WV, and Joshua Jones and wife, Isabell of Cummings, GA; brother, Bob Jones and wife, Jane of Bluefield, VA; sister, Linda Punturi and husband, Bobby of Bluefield, WV; sisters-in-law, Joyce Jones of Bluefield, WV, and Arlene Jones of Bluefield, VA; three grandchildren, Nate, Lucas, and Cruz; and a host of friends and extended family also survive.

In keeping with Jerry's wishes, he will be cremated and there will be no public services.
