Jeremy Scott Farmer

Jeremy Scott Farmer, 37 went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 14, 2024.  Jeremy was born April 8, 1987 in Bluefield WV and grew up in Skygusty WV.  Jeremy was preceded in death by his father, Devon Wesley Farmer (10/9/21) and stepbrother Joshua Darby (12/2/14).  Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Mary Ann (Ball) Darby , stepfather Ernest L Darby, sister Stephanie Ann McPherson and husband Preston, stepmother Robin Farmer, stepsister Kristen Miller and husband Tom, stepbrother Shannon Keyser, stepsister Jessica Darby, nieces Emma Vance, Whitley Keyser, Haley Keyser, Ashley Miller and several uncles aunts and cousins.  

Jeremy graduated from Mount View High School in Welch WV 2005 and went on to join the U S Navy and was proud of his military service.  Jeremy enjoyed sports and played basketball from middle school through high school.  Jeremy like his father was an avid WV Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steeler fan.  Jeremy loved the Lord and loved attending church with his family.  He often said his favorite book in the bible was Romans.  He had a kind and gentle heart and showed empathy for others whether a homeless person on the street to many disabled veterans he knew.  He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Memorial Services will be conducted on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Blood Bought Church of Jesus Christ, 11611 Skygusty Hwy., Welch, WV with Pastor Nick Marrs officiating. Military Honors will be performed by the Iaeger VFW Post 1144.

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the church.
