Janice Eileen Lambert

Janice Eileen Lambert, 76, of Rocky Gap, Virginia passed away on November 20, 2025.

Jan was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Earl Davidson Lambert and Lena Mae Akers Lambert, brother James Lambert, and sister-in-law Penny Lambert.

Jan is survived by aunt Mary Puckett of Rocky Gap, Virginia; sister Judy Johnson (Buddy) of Rocky Gap, Virginia; brother Roger Lambert (Susan) of Salisbury, North Carolina; sister-in-law Joyce Lambert of Rocky Gap, Virginia; and loving special friend Robert Shrewsbury of Bluefield, West Virginia.

She is also survived by her nieces and nephew, who she considered her children: Cheryl Arnold, Jenny Stallings, Shannon Lambert, and Joni Swinson; great nieces and nephews Aaron Arnold, James Douglas Trout, Ali Sanchez, and Alyssa Trout; great-great nephew Buchanan Trout; and many loving friends.

Jan had a long career in retail and management, starting at Paty Lumber. She spent most of her career at Lowe’s, retiring as a Vice President in the Eastern Region. She later came out of retirement and worked at Food City and Belk.

Jan devoted her life to church and family. She was always there before you even knew you needed her. She selflessly shared her time, her presence, her love for cooking, her sense of humor, and her gift for making things happen.

The family will hold a private interment, as no services were requested by Jan.
