James Leonard Palmer

James Leonard Palmer, 69, of Northfork, WV passed away April 9th, 2026 at WV Medical Center in Princeton, WV. He was born on February 20th, 1957 to the late Clark and Evelyn Palmer in Welch, WV. 

He was a strong, hardworking man who took pride in providing for his family. As a devoted husband of nearly 50 years and a loving father, he was a steady and unwavering presence. Known for his honesty, humor, and saying exactly what was on his mind, he left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

James is survived by his wife Patty Palmer of the home and their daughter Lisa Palmer of Rolfe, WV. As well as his sisters Kathy Bowman of Lexington, NC; Brenda Milam of Princeton, WV; Linda P. Torres of Princeton, WV; and Julie Seatt of Bluewell, WV.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday April 13th, 2026 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell, WV at 2:00 PM with Reverend Debbie Cyphers officiating. Friends may call prior to the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow the service at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Cravens- Shires Funeral Home is serving the Palmer family.
