James "Mike" Lenwood Glass

James “Mike” Lenwood Glass, 75, of Bluefield, WV, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the VA Medical Center in Salem, VA.

Born on August 12, 1949, in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late, Glenn W. and Lena Nester Walls Glass. He was a life-long resident of Bluefield and was a retired postal worker for the United States Postal Service. He was also a veteran of the US Navy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Witt Glass, son, Shawn Patrick Glass, and brother, Glen W. “Butch” Glass, Jr.

Survivors include his sister, Rebecca Dutton and husband Wayne; brother, Russell “Tim” Glass and wife Grace; brother-in-law, David Witt; and special niece, Michelle Glass. Also survived by many aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday March 7, 2023, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA with Pastor Rev. James Kestner officiating.
