James Booth Kahle

James Booth Kahle, 91, of Bluefield, VA, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023 at the Rockin Chair Assisted Living in Lerona.

Born on July 17, 1931 in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Rufus and Manila Booth Kahle. He had been a resident of Bluefield for 13 years and was a retired school bus driver. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints and was a veteran of the US Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his son, James Kahle and a stepson, Timothy Cline.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Carver Kahle of the home; a son, Ronald Kahle of Tacoma, WA; 2 stepchildren, Chris Cline of Bluefield, WV and Ebb Cline of Princeton, WV; and several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, April 20, 2022 at 12:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with Bishop Danny Meade officiating. Burial will follow with the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard officiating.

Those wishing to attend should meet at Cravens-Shire Funeral Home at 12:15 PM on Thursday.
