James Cecil Dawson

James Cecil Dawson, 33, of Princeton, WV, passed Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at his home.

Born May 30, 1990, in Bluefield, WV, he was a son of the late Ronald Cecil Dawson and Deborah Shrader Hammonds. James was a lifelong resident of Princeton, WV and he worked in construction.

Those left to cherish James’ memory are his son Anden Mitchell of Charleston, WV; brother, Don Smith of Bluefield, WV; sister, Angela Hammonds of SC aunt, Kathy Christian; 4 nephews, Johnathan, Steven, Jacob, and Jordan; 2 nieces, Jazmine and Sarah; cousin, Thomas McGlothlin; and adopted sister Shawna Moore of Princeton, WV.

In keeping with James’ wishes, he is to be cremated and no public services are to be held.
