James Edward Cleary, Jr.

James Edward “Spot” Cleary, Jr., 19, of Montcalm, WV, passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from injuries sustained in a UTV accident.

Born on October 14, 2003 in Princeton, he was a son of James Cleary, Sr. of Bramwell and Michelle Edwards Kindoll of Montcalm. He was a graduate of Bluefield High School and a member of the JROTC. He was employed by Eastern Vault in Princeton and was a member of the Bramwell Fire Department.

Survivors include his mother, Michelle and husband Steven Kindoll; father, James Cleary, Sr. and fiancé MacKenzie Brown; his sisters, Michaela Green and fiancé Allen Stacy of Lorton Lick and Bryanna Cleary and fiancé Devon "Hootie" MaAuleyof Bluefield; maternal grandparents, Riley and Darlene Greenwall; and paternal grandparents, Charles and Darlene Cleary; 2 nieces and nephews whom he adored, Jaiden Moore and DJ McAuley, Paisley Stacy and Autumn Stacy; and his best friend since childhood, Donovan Gerwig; aunt, April Shrewsberry; uncle, Matt Shrewsberry; uncle Jeff Edwards who gave him the nickname "Spot" he is now famous for; and numerous cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell.

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM on Saturday.
