James Edward Aust, 67 yrs. old went to his heavenly home on October 14th, surrounded by his loved ones. James was born in Bluefield, WV on August 23rd, 1959 to Arnold Edward Aust and Beulah Mae (Hilton) Aust. James was a warrior from birth, having suffered from infantile paralysis shortly after birth. Doctors gave his parents little hope for him, but our good Lord and James had other plans. He was able to overcome so many challenges during his life. If you told James he couldn't do something, his favorite retort was, " Watch me".
James loved the Lord and had a servants heart. James was a son, brother and uncle. He spent his life helping his family and friends. James took his role in our family very seriously. He helped take care of our father for several years during his illness so we could keep Dad in his home. James will be greatly missed by all of his family.
James is preceded in death by his father Arnold Edward Aust, his brother, Mark Alan Aust, and his sister, Kathy Marlene (Aust) Hurst. He is survived by his mother, Beulah(Hilton) Aust, his sister, Carolyn Aust Vance (Darryl), his brother, Timothy Wayne Aust (Melissa). He is also survived by seven nieces and nephews that were all special to him. Sharon Watterson (James), Cory Zellmer, Matthew Aust (Cassie), Joe Aust (Erin), Leah White (Jason), Elizabeth Foster (Casey), Ray Marie Hurst, and ten great nieces and nephews.
They family would like to extended our gratitude to Mercer HealthCare Center for the love and care they gave James during the last 18 months. He had so many wonderful caregivers that showered him with love and attention and supported us as a family in his illness. May God Bless you all for the love and compassion you show to those you care for daily.
