Jackie Ruth Derossett

Jackie Ruth Derossett, born on July 21, 1959, in Bluefield, West Virginia, passed away on March 11, 2026, at WVU Medicine in Princeton, West Virginia. She was a longstanding member of the community, serving as the Manager of Subway in Welch, West Virginia. Jackie was known for her genuine love for her family, always placing them at the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Brenson Derossett, of Bluefield, West Virginia; her son Kenneth D. Fain and his wife Jessie of Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina; her daughter Jacquline Jones and her husband Timmy of Princeton, West Virginia; her brother Billy Charles of Roderfield, West Virginia; her sister Sharon Reeves and her husband John of Welch, West Virginia; and her sister Rita Powell of Bluefield, West Virginia, as well as 6 grandchildren.

Jackie was preceded in death by her father Bill Charles, her mother Glenna Charles, her brother Delbert Charles, and her sisters Teresa Rose and Brenda Walker.

A visitation will take place on Monday, March 16, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield, West Virginia. This will be followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at the same location with Reverend Danny Blackburn officiating. Jackie will then be laid to rest at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluefield, West Virginia where family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Jackie's memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her dearly. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is proud to serve the Derossett Family.
