Ida Mae Henderson

Ida Mae Henderson, 79, of Rock, WV passed away Monday, January 17, 2022 at Westwood Center in Bluefield, VA. Born June 15, 1942 in Braxton County, WV, she was a daughter of the late George and Sara Barker Skidmore. Ida was a member of Denver Wesleyan Church in Denver, NC and was retired from Home Health Care with Abernethy Center in Newton, NC.
Those left to cherish Ida’s memory are her son, Earl Henderson II and wife, Debra of Hickory, NC; daughters, Patricia Skidmore Bower and husband, Lewis of Maiden, NC, Shelia Harsha and husband, Patrick of Delaware City, DE, and Gerry Tolson of Mercer County, WV; brother, Pete Barker and wife, Rose of Tampa, FL; sister, Phyllis Shaw of Delaware City, DE; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Ida’s wishes, she will be cremated. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Henderson family.
