Heath Thomas Johnson

Thomas Heath Johnson, 59, of Princeton, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at WVU Medical in Princeton, West Virginia. 

Born on December 27, 1966, Heath was a proud graduate of Richlands High School in Richlands, Virginia. He worked as a master welder for much of his life, taking pride in his trade and the work of his hands. In his quieter moments, he enjoyed reading, spending time outdoors, and being with family and friends. 

Heath was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Johnson; his mother, Nora StClair; his stepfather, Wade StClair; and his paternal and maternal grandparents. 

He is survived by his daughter, Marissa Burnette (Marcus) of Philadelphia, PA; his longtime partner, Mary Childress of Princeton, WV; and Mary’s great-granddaughters, Isabella and Autumn. He is also survived by his brother, Winston Johnson (Pamela) of Abingdon, VA; his stepsister, Tiffany StClair of Fletcher, NC; his nieces, Alexis Macione (Robert) of Cosby, Tn and Olivia Fink (Gabriel) of Cairo, GA; and his great-nephew and great-nieces, Beau, Alina, and Giana Macione. 

Heath will be remembered for his kind heart and the way he never knew a stranger. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral Services for Heath will be held Sunday July 19th at 3:00PM at Montcalm Pentecostal Holiness Church 125 Rock Rd, Rock, WV 24747. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Johnson family.
