Hattie Ellen Hood

Hattie Ellen Hood, 78, of Bramwell, WV passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at her home. Born January 7, 1944 in Welch, WV, she was a daughter of Charlotte Goodloe. Hattie was a Nurses Aid and worked in Home Health Care and was a member of the Coaldale Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, Hattie was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Hood; two sons, Alfred Hood and Otto Frye; sister, Mary; brothers, Ernie Goodloe and Junior Goodloe.

Those left to cherish Hattie’s memory are her son, Max Frye of Bramwell, WV; brother, Tom Goodloe (Barbara) of Coaldale, WV; grandchildren, Samuel Frye, Kyle Wall, and Rocky Frye; nephew, David McKinny of Bluewell, WV; like a sister, Dixie Nunley of Coaldale, WV.

A memorial service will be held Monday, January 23, 2023 at 7:00 PM at Coaldale Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Lacy officiating. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Hood family.
