Harry Gregory II

November 4, 1948 — September 29, 2025

Harry Gregory, II, 76, of Bluewell, WV passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, at home. He was born in Vivian, WV, on November 4, 1948. Harry graduated from Bluefield High School and Bluefield State College. He retired in 2006 from the UMWA at Keystone Prep Plant. He worked in the coal field for over 38 years.

On September 29, 2025, the Gregory family lost a shining star, our vibrant and adventurous Harry. He was the most incredibly driven man, inspiring us with his passion for golf, poker, pool, ping-pong, and so much more. He loved his family and loved to travel with them. Harry loved his many, many friends and will be greatly missed by them. Life will undoubtedly be different without our Harry, but his life-changing legacy will live on, uplifting us all.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Gregory and Irene Day Gregory.

He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara McKinney Gregory; sons, Michael Scott Gregory (Penny) of Alum Creek, WV, and Christopher Shawn Gregory (Vicky) of Newton, NC; brother, Ricky Gregory and wife, Joann of Shady Springs, WV; sisters, Sandra Ball and husband, Gene of Bluewell, WV, and Charlotte Cornwell and husband, Jim of Richmond, VA.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home. In keeping with Harry's wishes, he will be cremated following the visitation. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Gregory family.
