Gloria Jean Abshire

Gloria Jean Abshire,70, of Princeton, WV passed away Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born August 31, 1952 in Welch WV, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Betty Clemins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Abshire; brother, Dale Overbee and his wife Rita Overbee.

Those left to cherish Gloria’s memory are her daughter, Malissa Helmandollar and husband, Rick of Bramwell  WV; son, Larry Keith Dillon Jr and wife, Kate of Hinton WV; Grandchildren, Shane Abshire of Bluefield WV, Dylan Helmandollar of Princeton WV, and Karlee Helmandollar of Bramwell WV; Brothers, Ronnie and wife, Earlene, James and wife, Melissa, Adam and wife, Barbie, Banjo and wife, Candy, Richard and wife, Margaret, and Brian and wife, Joann Clemins; Sisters, Terry Sullivan and husband, Benny, Kathy Hawkins, Leila Johnson, Ruth Champ, Carol Hairston, Lisa Dotson, Crystal Combs and husband, David; Many many special nieces and nephews and very special friend, Betty Whittaker Willis and  Brian Bennett who she lovingly referred to as her adopted grandson.

In keeping with Gloria’s wishes she will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held Monday, January 30, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Craven-Shires Funeral Home, Bluewell, WV with Earlene Clemins officiating .The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the time of the service. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Abshire family.
