George Richard Scott

George Richard Scott, 66, of Bluefield VA passed away on December 25, 2020. He had many passions and hobbies; member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians, a HAM operator (N4QQM), a beekeeper and a servant of the Lord. He lived by the motto that "if it's meant to be, it's up to me" as he was a very intelligent, successful and determined man. He was a kind and loving husband to his wife of 47 years, Brenda Charlene Scott of Bluefield, VA and the most amazing father to his children; Richard “Shawn” (m. Cyndi) Scott of Wirtz, VA and Angela Scott Brinkerhoff of Rural Retreat, VA. George also left behind 3 grandchildren; Ethan, Kannon and Oakley Scott as well as 2 great grandchildren; Aliyah and Elijah Scott, his mother; Myrtle Scott, and siblings; Nathan Scott, Arthur Scott, Tim Scott, Abbie Simons and Alice Cook. He was predeceased by his father, George Evans Scott. The family will honor his life in a private ceremony and ask that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Scott family.
