Geneva Katherine Thompson

Geneva Katherine Thompson, age 81, of Falls Mills Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born on October 28, 1939 in Pageton, she was a daughter of the late Vernon and Thelma Newsome Perdue. She had been a resident of Bluestone for 60 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Boissevain Full Gospel Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, William Thurman Martin; her second husband, Roy Thompson; a sister, Jean Farley; and a granddaughter, April Rowe. Survivors include her son, Kevin (Barbara) Martin of North Tazewell, VA; daughter, Lisa (Robert) Hill of Radcliff, KY; 2 grandsons, Logan (Grace) Martin of Bluefield, WV and Dean Nichols of KY; 3 great grandchildren; and numerous nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 11:45 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Victor Phillips and Rev. Carlos Hess officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Logan Martin, Jimmy Farley, Ray Farley, Duane Farley, Kenny Jarvis, and Harold Chinsolo will serve as pallbearers.
