Gary Milton Church, Sr.

Gary Milton Church, Sr., 68, of Anawalt, WV, passed Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at his home. 

Born July 26, 1956, in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late William and Patricia French Church. Gary was a retired coal miner. 

In addition to his parents, Gary is preceded in death by his wife, Goldie Johnson Church, two brothers, Clinton and John, and sister, Rosemary. 

Those left to cherish Gary's memory are his sons, Gary Church, Jr., of Anawalt, WV, and Roy Thomas Church, of Norfolk, VA; brothers, Richard Lynn Church, of Horsepen, VA, Jerome Franklin Church, of Bluewell, WV, and Corbett Church, of Horsepen, VA; sisters, Elizabeth Church, of Gary, WV, Jaunita Church, of Keystone, WV, and Patricia Church; and one grandchild, Timothy Church. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM, with Rev. Donnie Farmer officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV, with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, from 6:00-8:00 PM, at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel.
