Freda Mae Smith

Our beloved wife, mother, and sister, Freda Mae Smith, 74 of Kimball, WV, passed Thursday, August 7, 2025, at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born October 13, 1950, in Bottom Creek, WV, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Opal Knuckles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Gary Smith; 2 sons, Michael Lafferty Jr. (Christine) and Bobby Smith (Tabatha); daughter, Tracy Fields (Jeffery); 2 sisters, Sylvia Goodson and Kathy Young (Tommy); 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Freda’s life was full of love for her family and friends. She loved life, baking, and flowers that filled the air in the spring. The love she gave will forever be in each of our hearts. Seven Spanish Angels truly took another angel home.

By her request, no viewing will be held. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is handling the burial. Funeral is August 11, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Meet by 1:30 p.m. to line up for the graveside. Rites will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park across the road. Serving as pallbearers will be family.
