Fred Everette Bishop, Sr.

Fred Everette Bishop, Sr., 82, of Bluefield, WV, passed April 28, 2024, at Mercer Healthcare Center in Bluefield, WV.

Born November 21, 1941, in Welch, WV, he was a son of the late Fred and Rosie Radford Bishop. Fred was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Arthur Bishop, and sisters, Edith Bishop, Gertrude Robinson, and Louise Hall.

Those left to cherish Fred’s memory are his wife, Nora Robinson, of Princeton, WV; sons, Freddie Bishop, Jr, of North Carolina, and Ricky Bishop and wife JoAnne of Tazewell, VA; daughters, Tammy Williams and husband Kevin of Princeton, WV, and Kim Riggs and husband John of Bluefield, WV; brother, David "Eugene" Bishop; sisters, Juanita Potter, Ethel Hall, and Mary Stillwell; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside rites will be held, Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell, WV, with Rev. Jeff Blankenship officiating. Family and friends will be serving as pallbearers.
