Flora Ramona Nichols

Mrs. Flora Ramona (Mona) Nichols, 94, of Bluefield, WV passed away peacefully on September 25, 2022 at her home.

She was born in, Lowe, WV on September 7, 1928. She was the daughter of the late Dathan Clark and Ada Marian Fitzgerald Clark.

Mona is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles S. Nichols, Sr., sons Charles S. Nichols Jr, and Jerry D. Nichols, Sr.; grandchildren Roger Wayne Chandler and Shona E. Stocksen. Brothers Joe and Clarence Clark; sisters Frances McBride, Thelma Lilly, Joan Montgomery, and Jane Clark

Mona is survived by daughters, Janice Chandler, Jean (Bud) LaRue, Doris Blevins, Faye (Ronnie) Reeves and Kaye (Mike)  Bowman; daughters-in-law Mary Francis Nichols and Grace Nichols; grandchildren Diane Hill, Lisa Nichols, Jerry Nichols Jr., Charlie Nichols, Cindy (Bobby) Sargent, Mona (Danny) Presley, David (Brandy) LaRue, Steve (Melissa) LaRue, John Stocksen, Amanda Etter, Stephanie Caldwell, Chris (Lauren) Caldwell and April (Shawn) Papa; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. Brother Dathan Clark of Kansas; sisters Evelyn Barker of Missouri and Dorothy Lilly of Ohio, sisters-in-law Ann Clark of NC and Joan Clark of VA.

Mona  was a wonderful mother and grandmother that will be greatly missed by all her family. She was a member of Brushfork Baptist Church where she served several years as Treasurer and participated in WOM,  the choir and served in other positions in the church.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 12:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Wes Lambert and Pastor Gary Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Princeton, WV. Pall bearers will be Jerry Nichols Jr., Danny Presley, David LaRue, Cody Larue, Chris Caldwell, and Shawn Papa.

Friends may call prior to services on Thursday, from 11:00-12:00 at the funeral home.
