Ethel Marie Cecil Wyatt, 92, of Rock, WV (Windmill Gap), went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at her home surrounded by family. Born May 8, 1933 in McComas, WV, she was a daughter of the late Dewey and Edna Cecil. Ethel was a life-long resident of Mercer County and was a devoted housewife. She was a member of Southview Church. In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wyatt; two daughters, Dranda Mooney and Deborah Burgess; four granddaughters, Crystal Hodges, Kimberly Miller, Dranda Lewis, and Destiny Wyatt; seven sisters and two brothers.
Those left to cherish Ethel's memory are her two sons, Charles W. Wyatt (Delissa), and Terry Ray Wyatt (Debbie); two daughters, Diane Darago and Drena Haynes (Joe); two sisters, Barbara Potter (Jack) and Debbie Hash (Terry); grandchildren, Jackie Persiani, Garland Darago, C.W. Wyatt, Catrina Farmer, Maranda Barreras, Mark Jones, Delissa Thomas, Chris Sells, Terry Wyatt, and Amanda Posey; many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a host of step-grandchildren and Mamaw to many children that knew her.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to Ethel's caregivers, Crystal Wyatt, Gabby Wyatt, and Maranda Barreras.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Novell officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park where Jackie Persiani, Garland Darago, Chris Sells, Terry Wyatt, Mark Jones, and Joe Haynes will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethels memory may be sent to Southview Church, 6671 New Hope Road, Bluefield, WV 24701.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
