Emersyn Grace
Nester
March 30, 2026 – May 6, 2026
Emersyn Grace Nester peacefully entered the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Though her time on earth was brief, her presence brought immeasurable joy, hope, and love to all who knew her. Emersyn’s spunky spirit shone in every moment—she loved being pampered during her bedtime routine, being cradled and rocked by her mommy and daddy, ba-bas of her mommy's milk, and snuggling with her fur-siblings, who adored her as much as she adored them.
She is lovingly survived by her parents, Kara Baker and Sonny Nester; grandparents, Melissa Baker, Cindy and Brian Wright, Bryan Bailey and Roshelle Fink, and Amber Morehead; great-grandparents, Leroy and Aleta Lippencott, Lynn Trail, Thomas Marshall, Linda and Pete Stephenson, and Lonnie and Glenna Taylor; aunts and uncles, Brandon and Meaghan Baker, Aaron and Katie Taylor, Alexis Bailey, Kristen and Kevon Moxey, Alyson and Garrett Warden, Alyssa and Eli Tilley, Jacob Wright, and Addy Nester; along with many great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins, and loved ones.
Emersyn was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Vernie and Carrie Beggs, Don and Betty Baker, Patsy Marshall, and Jo and Ronnie Williams; as well as close relatives Christopher and Michael Hubbard, Wesley and K.C Baker, Bo Bailey, and Eric Lambert.
Emersyn’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who knew and loved her. Matthew 19:14 says, “But Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’”
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Craven-Shires Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Burial services at Roselawn Cemetery will follow the Celebration of Life service.
Emersyn’s parents ask that guests wear beautiful colors in honor of her life.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Carilion Clinic Foundation, the Lindsey Ann Varney Foundation, or to a local Humane Society so more children can experience the love of fur-siblings.
