Fay Horn Beck

Edith “Fay” Horn Beck, 98, of Bluefield, VA passed away Saturday, February 12, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. Born November 18, 1923 in Paynesville, WV, she was a daughter of the late Alva and Bertha Yates Horn. She was a retired school teach at Tazewell Elementary having taught from 1974 until 1989.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Lee Beck; daughter, Deanna Lucille Estep; brothers, Dewey Horn, Carl Horn, Clarence Horn, and Vaughn Horn; and grandson, Justin Lee Beck.

Those left to cherish Fay’s memory are her sons, David Lee Beck (Betty), and Duane Edward Beck (Carol Pendergrass), both of Bluefield, WV; brother, Roy Horn of Iaeger, WV; sister-in-law, Jewell Horn; grandchildren, Robin, Kim, Kandy, Michael, Christopher, Heather, and Anndrea; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Piper, Kelsi, Autumn, Lexi, Shawn, Cameron, Chloe, Ayden, and Ashton. The family would like to offer special thanks to M.S.A. Hospice and a very special thanks to all caregivers.

Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, February 21, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens where David Beck, Duane Beck, Christopher Beck, Heather Beck,  Anndrea Beck, and Jonathan Stacy will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Carl and Mitchell Floyd. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until the time of service.
