Douglas Eugene Hager, II

Douglas Eugene Hager, II, age 50, of Green Valley, Bluefield, WV, passed away March 28, 2026, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Dougie was what lots of friends and family called him, was born October 4,1975 to Douglas Hager Sr. and Cleavie Hager.

He is proceeded in death by his dad Douglas Hager Sr. and grandparents, Clarence and Maxine Stephenson.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife Regina Hager, stepdaughter Britani Shrewsbury. and Carlee his sweet little granddaughter that called him Pop-Pop and she had a big piece of his heart. They loved each other more than words can say. Also his little fur baby Vadar. His best friend, his rock, the one person that he could count on no matter what the situation his loving mother who will be lost without her Son. He will be missed by stepfather Billy Estep and his 4 sisters. Gloria (Jackie) Justice, Robin Hager, Kim (Gerald) Reed, Amanda Stephenson. His five children, Samantha, Brandi, Douglas 3rd Tyler and Felicity and his grandchildren, several nieces and nephews two special nieces that loved him unconditionally Ashley Martin and Christin Williams. His great nieces and nephews will miss the joking and the funny and the silly things he would say. He is free now of all the pain and suffering here on earth. Our Lord and Savior has his loving and forgiving arm around Dougie now.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Princeton where family and friends will serve as pallbearers. 

Friends may call prior to services, from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
