Doris Ann Sexton, affectionately known to everyone as "Cookie," passed away at her home Saturday, October 17, 2026  leaving a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her. Born April 19, 1959 in Bluefield, WV, she was a daughter of the late Milton and Dolly Pennington Lusk. She was a woman whose entire life was anchored by an immense love for her family. As a retired Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Cookie dedicated her working years to looking after others, bringing comfort and empathy to her patients. That same nurturing spirit defined her role at home. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who cared deeply for her family's well-being and happiness. More than anything in this world, Cookie loved her children and grandchildren. They were her greatest joy, and her love for them knew no bounds. Her kindness, gentle care, and devotion to her family will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will live on through her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Cookie is preceded in death by her daughter, Shannon Sexton; brothers, Buddy, Danny, Johnny, and Dennis Lusk; sister, Carol Lusk Coeburn; brother-in-law, Richard Faulkner; and nephew, infant Mark Faulkner.

Those left to cherish Cookie's memory are her husband, Paul Sexton; son, Michael Sexton and Jennifer Hayes; daughter, Shawna Sexton; sister, Marlene Lusk Faulkner; brothers, Rex and David Lusk; grandchildren, Erica Sexton, Samuel Sexton, Deven Barlow, Jacob Hayes, Nathan Sexton, and Tarence Phillips; great-grandchild, Judah Dawn Sexton.

In keeping with Cookies wishes, she will be cremated and there will be no public services.
