Donald Eugene Lockhart

Donald Eugene Lockhart, 78, of Bluefield, WV, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Pine Lodge Nursing Home in Beckley, WV. Born November 14, 1943 in McDowell County, WV, he was a son of the late William Harvey and Hazel Knox Lockhart. Donald was a resident for twenty-five years. He was a proud retired United States Navy Veteran with 21 ½ years of service. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Sue Patrick Lockhart; and his companion, Donna Perdue. Those left to cherish Donald’s memory are his step son, Michael Patrick of Spring Lake, NC; brothers, Harvey Jackson Lockhart of Havaco, WV, and Ronnie Lockhart of Princeton, WV; sisters, Sally Kirk of Bluefield, WV, and Connie Belcher of Bluefield, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Doug Hyndrich officiating. Interment will follow at Green Hill Cemetery where family will serve as pallbearers. The American Legion Post #26 will conduct military graveside rites. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Lockhart family.
