Deborah Diane Bennett

Deborah Diane Bennett, born on November 19, 1958, in Welch, West Virginia, departed this life on August 3, 2025, in Bluefield, Virginia. She was a devoted caregiver known for her compassion and dedication, having worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Medical Assistant. Throughout her career, Deborah touched the lives of many families by caring for their loved ones with the utmost respect and kindness.

Deborah was not only a professional caregiver but also a loving family member and friend. She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifier Bennett and her spouse, Stephanie Bennett, of Bristol, Virginia, and Christina Proffitt and her husband, Tony, of Bluefield, Virginia. Her legacy continues through her beloved grandchildren, Kaylee Proffitt and her fiancé, Hunter Harold, as well as her great-grandson, Jaxon Harold.

She was cherished by many friends, including Robbie and Jamie Whitlow Overcash, who will hold her memory close to their hearts. Deborah was preceded in death by her husband, David Wayne Bennett, her parents, William Edward and Elvia Jane Nichols Steele, and a close friend who was like a brother, Daryl Anderson.

Beyond her professional life, Deborah found joy in various hobbies and interests. She was an avid NASCAR fan, with a particular admiration for Jeff Gordon. Deborah also enjoyed spending time outdoors, engaging in activities such as fishing and camping, which brought her immense pleasure and relaxation.

Funeral Services will be conducted 4:00 PM Friday, August 8, 2025 at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Minister Rick Mathena officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park at a later date. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service.

Deborah Diane Bennett's kind spirit, compassionate nature, and commitment to her family and friends will forever be remembered by all who knew her. She leaves behind a lasting impact that will be cherished for years to come.
