David Leroy Rose

David Leroy Rose, 87, of Anawalt, WV, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at McDowell Nursing and Rehab in Gary.

Born on September 2, 1934 in Anawalt, he was a son of the late George and Sophia Mickles Rose. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a retired from the furniture factories in NC.

He was preceded in death by a son, Randy Rose; and two brothers, Billy and Eugene Rose.

Survivors include a daughter, Rhonda (Jay) Bowling of Winston-Salem, NC; 2 grandchildren; brothers, Jack (Patsy) Rose of Thomasville, NC and Ernest (Brenda) Rose of Gary, WV; and sisters, Dorothy Bryant of Anawalt, WV, Alma (Ricky) Barnes of Conway, SC and Nannie (Al) Matthews of Kernersville, NC .

Graveside services will be conducted on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA with Rev. Jack Rose officiating. Burial will follow.
