David Taylor Robinson, 68, of Bluefield, W Va., left this earth for his heavenly home on June 13, 2022.
David was born March 13, 1954, to Rudolph Taylor Robinson and Lois Jane Whittaker and grew up in Blacksburg, VA. He was a 1973 graduate of Blacksburg High School and was a long-time employee of Dining Services at Va Tech. In 2006, he moved to Littleton, Colorado, where he was employed by Dish Network. He retired to Bluefield in 2015.
David was loved by all; he was preceded in death by his parents, and niece Kimberly Adkins. He is survived by his brothers Dale of Crestview, Fl., Danny of Shawsville, Va., Daryl of Blacksburg, Va., his sister Debra Williams, also of Blacksburg Va., and beloved niece Patti Cooke of Waynesboro, Va.
He has 11 nieces/nephews, and 12 grandnieces/nephews.
He loved his roommate, William Myers, and his ward, Chris Ross, who was like a son to David. Their four dogs, Achilles, Hades, Shadow, and Bandit also had a special place in his heart.
A celebration of David’s life will be held at Nellie’s Cave Park, 1900 Grissom Lane, Blacksburg, Va. 24060 at 11:00 am on July 30, 2022.
Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluefield is serving the Robinson family.
