Danny Ray Parks, Jr.

Danny Ray “Huffy” Parks, Jr., 44, of Brushfork, WV, passed away on Thursday, September 9, 2021.

Born on June 30, 1977 in Bluefield, he was a son of the late Danny Ray Parks, Sr., and Brenda Roark Parks. He had been a lifelong resident of Bluefield and was a warehouse clerk at State Electric and also worked for Dollar General. He was an avid sports fan and played football for the Bluefield Beavers and Bluefield Barons. He was very proud to be a coach to many sports teams throughout the years such as the Bengals, Minutemen, Bears, and recreational league basketball teams.

He was survived by his daughter, Peyton Parks and fiancé Dylan Nichols and grandchildren Karlyn and Aria; son, Trey Parks of Brushfork, his companion Mahalia Long and their mother Michelle East, son Brennan Parks of Bluefield; a sister, Carmen Parks of Princeton; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Also surviving is his longtime companion Melanie Justice of Princeton; her daughter, Danika Webb and grandchild Daxton of Princeton.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Pastor David Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the funeral home.
