Danny Leeon Miller, Sr.

Danny L Miller Sr., 76, of Princeton, WV, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Born on February 26, 1948, to the late Buster and Mildred Miller, Danny joined the Peace Corp. and later started work with Nehi Bottling Co. at the young age of 16, followed by Melvin Cox Trucking Company as a mechanic.

He met and married his wife, Mildred Elaine Corner, and together they raised four precious children. Daughters, Trena Shrader and husband Keith of Lake Gaston, VA, Danna Duke and husband Greg of Mechanicsville, VA, Crystal Coe and husband John of Anawalt, WV, and son, Danny Miller Jr. and wife Debbie of Bluefield, WV. After the passing of his wife Mildred, he met and married Michelle Miller of Princeton, WV. After moving to Princeton, he worked for Compton Construction before retiring.

Danny was grandfather to ten grandchildren, Brian Shrader and wife Kelsey of Knoxville, TN, Chelsea Molter and husband Justin of Stokes, NC, Geoff and wife Brandi of Mechanicsville, VA, Geena Duke of Mechanicsville, VA, Brandy Graham and husband Kyle of Kimball, WV, Haley and Kelly Coe of Anawalt, WV, and Lori and Sara Miller of Bluefield, WV. Danny was a proud grandfather of seven great grandchildren, Griffin, Nora, Cameron, Cole, Zach, Quinton, and Skylar.

In addition to his parents and his first wife, Danny was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Miller, Nick Miller, Glenn Miller, and Buster Junior Miller and one grandson Robert Ty Duke.

Those left to cherish Danny’s memory are three sisters, Wanda Coe and husband Jim, Delsia Dillon and husband Jim, and Nancy Palmer and husband James; and his faithful companion, his dog, Mack.

Danny was a member of the Lifeline Church of God in Princeton, WV. Danny never met a stranger; he spoke to everyone and was always friendly and kind. To know Danny was to love him. He will be sadly missed.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at The Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell, WV, with Reverend Jim and Wanda Coe officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park with Justin Molter, Brian Shrader, Kyle Graham, Geoff Duke, Tommy Williams, and Johnny Miller serving as pallbearers.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2024, from 6:00-8:00 PM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at Princeton Community Hospital and Westwood Nursing Center and the many special people we met on this heart-breaking journey.
