Clyde Slaughter Jr.

Clyde Slaughter, Jr., 77, of Bluefield, WV passed away Monday, June 27, 2022, at his home. Born May 19, 1945, in McDowell County, WV, he was a son of the late Clyde Slaughter, Sr. and Bonnie Slaughter. Clyde had been a resident of Bluefield since 1999. He was retired from the United States Army and was a member of the Church of God. In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Diane Smith Slaughter and great grandson, Ayden Lee Pruitt. Those left to cherish Clyde’s memory are his son, Chris Slaughter and wife, Sarah of Bluefield, WV; daughter, Teri Murphy and husband, Keith of Bluefield, WV; brother, Billy Slaughter of Kimball, WV; six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 16 at 11:00 AM at Cravens-Shires Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Davis officiating. Cravens-Shires Funeral Home is serving the Slaughter family.
