Clarence Earl Byrd

Clarence Earl Byrd, 80, of Bluewell, passed away on Wednesday December 21, 2022 at Princeton Community Hospital.

Born on March 27, 1942 in Newport News, VA, he was a son of the late Clarence Elmo and Mary Elizabeth Kirk Byrd. He was a retired supervisor from Kroger. He was a veteran of the US Army.

He was preceded in death by his wife who was the love of his life, Leta Gay Chrisley Byrd; a brother, Brady Byrd; and a half-sister, Jan Corner.

Survivors include a host of nieces and nephews and 2 sisters in law, Lois and Marie Myers of Bluefield.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Minister buddy Goins officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

Friends may call prior to services, from 12:00-1:00PM, at the funeral home.
