Christopher Michael Southern

Christopher Michael Southern, 39, of Bluefield, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026 due to injuries from a vehicle accident. 

Born on June 26, 1987 in Bluefield, he was a son of Stacy Taylor Southern of Bluefield, VA and the late Chap Southern. He worked as a transporter driving patients to their appointments. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles Taylor.

Survivors in addition to his mother include 3 children; Bently Southern, Riley Rose and Aubree Lilly; grandparents, Sharon Taylor and Brenda and Arnold Southern; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Pastor Jason Nunley officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Bluefield, VA. 

Friends may call prior to services, from 10:00-11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
