Charles Ray Wooldridge

Charles Ray Wooldridge, 72, of Anawalt, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 7, 2023.

Born on February 25, 1951 in Skygusty, he was a son of the late Hampton and Viola Childs Wooldridge. He was a decorated veteran and proud US Marine. He was a dedicated coal miner for 19 years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his only brother, Larry Wooldridge. And his sister, Susie Billings.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 49 years, Yvonne; daughters, Angela (Todd) Webb of Princeton, Tara (Michael) Casey of Princeton, Megan (Miles) Hagy of Abbs Valley, VA; grandkids who he loved more than anything, Ethan Webb, Jeremy, Nathaniel and Moriah Farmer, Kylie Casey, and Evelyn Browning.; a sister, Tammy Cox of Skygusty. Special thanks to our special friends Brennan and Jamiey McGraw and Adam Waddell.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 10, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home in Bluewell with Rev. Jimmy Sanson officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton where Todd Webb, Ethan Webb, Miles Hagy, Mike Casey, Jerry Parnell, Mike Miller and Doug Miller will serve as pallbearers. Military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Thursday from 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
