Charles Wayne Blevins

February 13, 1938 — February 4, 2022

Charles Blevins born February 13, 1938 and was a son of Charles H Blevins and Edna A (Johnson) Blevins gained his Angel wings February 04, 2022 with his family by his side.

He was a graduate of Bramwell High School and served proudly in the United States Army. He married the love of his life Patricia Sue (Duncan) Blevins in 1958 and they built a wonderful life together. Wayne was an avid Montcalm Generals fan never missing a game, he would have rode a boat to attend a game if he had too!  Wayne was everyone's papaw and everyone loved him.

He was proceeded in death by his Parents, one son Mark W Blevins, a brother James H Blevins, one sister Jancie Pickett.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 63 yrs Patricia, one Daughter Tammy Poore of Montcalm, one sister Nancy York, and brother Roger "pistol" Blevins. Three granddaughters Beth Carver (P.j.) of Montcalm, Hope Dickerson(Kenny), Megan Bradley (Jay) of NC and one grandson Charles Matthew Carver (Mandy)whom he said would fill his shoes one day. Chloe and Kyndel Carver or little Charlie as he would call him were very special to his heart. Wayne has 15 great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.  Wayne loved life and everything about it, he loved fishing and telling his stories about the "big one" he caught, he loved his evening rides across the mountain counting the deer in the fields.

Wayne will be missed by many but never forgotten. The family will honor his wishes in having him cremated and having a celebration of life this summer. When we lose someone we love, we must learn not to live without them, but to live with the love they left behind.

Also, the family extends a special thanks to his great-granddaughter Haleigh Carver.
